New 75th Deluxe Anniversary Edition of The Martian Chronicles

In celebration of the 75th anniversary of Ray Bradbury’s The Martian Chronicles, Harper Collins/ William Morrow will publish a special collector’s hardcover edition on July 15, 2025.

First published in 1950, The Martian Chronicles is one of Bradbury’s most influential works, an enduring portrait of humanity’s hopes and failures, told through the story of Earth’s colonization of Mars. The new edition honours the book’s legacy with a striking design that includes a new cover illustration by British artist Bill Bragg, elegant endpapers, and red ink-tipped pages in tribute to the world Bradbury imagined.

Harper Collins will also reissue two other Bradbury classics, The Illustrated Man and The October Country, each featuring new cover art by Bragg.

A landmark in speculative fiction, The Martian Chronicles helped define the literary shape of science fiction in the 20th century. Its influence continues to be felt across generations of writers, from Ursula K. Le Guin and Margaret Atwood to Stephen King and George R.R. Martin.
